Sunnidale Park is a mixed recreational and natural park in Barrie, Ontario. It is the largest municipal park in the city of Barrie. The park offers a leisurely walks that can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. With on-site washrooms, an adventure playground, plenty of parking, beautiful botanicals there is much to see and do.

Situated on the shore of Kempenfelt Bay in Barrie, this sculture was originally created by sculptor Ron Baird for Expo 86 in Bristish Columbia, Vancouver. Influenced by the iconography of Indigenous oral traditions in the Pacific Northwest, the work references the Thunderbird.  The Spirit Catcher became the first work of the MacLaren Art Centre’s permanent collection and is still the Centre’s largest piece.
